Indiana native, Lanae Shelton is a clothing designer who develops and produces apparel for individuals, organizations, and businesses.  With a Master's of Fine Art in Apparel Design from the Academy of Art University, Lanae brings her expertise of design, clothing construction, and strategy to build your fashion business or provide for your organization with your own product.

Lanae has over 10 years of experience in the fashion industry in various positions of retail, merchandising, sourcing, clothing design and production.  Her company, Build a Style, thrives on creating custom clothing for individual clients and giving them the full immersed design experience.  Many schools have utilized services for costume design or dance attire as well as organizations such as hospitals for surgical gowns.  Additionally, our small production services for retailers promotes a high level of quality and ethical standards as each garment is designed and produced right here in the United States.
